Cara is not medical care
Cara is a health information tool. It does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition. It does not replace your doctor, your pharmacist or any other health professional.
Do not start, stop or change a medicine because of something Cara showed you. Ask your doctor or pharmacist first.
In an emergency, call 911. Do not use Cara for emergencies. If you are thinking about harming yourself, call or text 988.
Drug interaction checks
Cara looks for possible interactions in public FDA drug label text. A result of "none found" means Cara found no match in that text. It does not mean the medicines are safe together. "Not checked" means Cara could not look.
The severity labels (for example "critical") are set by software rules. A pharmacist or doctor has not reviewed them. Always ask a licensed pharmacist or doctor about possible drug interactions.
AI can be wrong
Cara uses Anthropic's Claude AI to write some replies. AI can make mistakes and can miss things. Check anything important with a health professional.
Other sources and your own information
Cara shows information from third-party sources such as openFDA. These sources can be incomplete or out of date. Cara also depends on what you enter. If your entries are missing or wrong, Cara's results will be too.
Pilot software
Cara is a pilot. Features can change, and Cara can have errors or be unavailable. Keep your usual ways of managing your health.
Read the privacy information and the terms for how Cara handles your data and what you agree to.
