What Is Cara?
Cara is a personal health organizer, hosted on a server that we rent. It keeps your medications, vitals, lab results, and health history in one place. When you add a medicine, Cara checks it against FDA label data. Once a week, Cara looks for new FDA recalls that match your medicines. Cara also uses AI to write check-in questions and to organize appointment summaries.
Everything in One Place
If you've ever walked into a doctor's appointment and blanked on what medications you take, or forgotten to mention a symptom that's been bothering you for weeks, Cara was built for you.
Medications & Interactions
Track every medication, supplement, and vitamin. Cara checks for known interactions using the FDA database and flags anything worth asking your pharmacist about. Cara checks again when you change a dose or schedule.
Vitals & Lab Results
Log blood pressure, blood sugar, weight, cholesterol — anything with a number. See trends over time so you can walk into appointments with real data.
Symptom Tracking
Record symptoms as they happen — severity, duration, what makes them better or worse. You can look back over the list to see how a symptom changed.
Health Check-Ins
Friendly conversations about how you're doing. Not a quiz. You start a check-in from the Check-ins page. Cara does not start one for you yet.
Appointment Management
Keep your care team and upcoming appointments organized. Cara helps you prepare questions before each visit so nothing slips through.
Wearable Integration
If you connect an Omi pendant, Cara reads health mentions from your conversations, such as a medicine or a symptom. It puts them in your Review list for you to check.
What It Looks Like
Here's a quick walkthrough of the screens you'll actually use every day.
Your health at a glance
Log in and immediately see what matters: active medications, upcoming appointments, goals in progress, and any alerts that need attention. No digging through menus.
Today's Vitals
Goals Progress
See patterns over time
Interactive charts show how your vitals change day to day and week to week. Spot improvements, catch warning signs, and share clear data with your doctor.
Every pill, supplement, and refill
See your full medication list at a glance — prescriptions, OTC, and supplements — with dosage, frequency, and who prescribed it. When you add a medicine or change its dose, Cara checks it for drug interactions. Once a week, Cara checks for new FDA recalls.
Track what the numbers mean
Enter lab results and see them organized by panel with clear normal-range flags. Watch your A1C drop over three visits or catch a cholesterol number creeping up — all in one place.

Who Is Cara For?
Cara is designed for adults who want to be more organized about their health — especially if any of these sound familiar:
-
People managing multiple medications You take several prescriptions and it's hard to keep track of what's what, when to refill, or whether something new might interact with what you're already taking.
-
People with multiple doctors You see a cardiologist, an endocrinologist, and a primary care doctor — and sometimes they don't all talk to each other. Cara helps you be the common thread.
-
Caregivers You're managing health information for a parent, spouse, or loved one. Cara helps you stay organized so nothing falls through the cracks.
-
People who want to be proactive You're healthy and want to stay that way. You track your vitals, watch your trends, and want a smarter way to keep it all together.
What Cara Is Not
Transparency matters. Cara is a health information tool — it helps you organize and understand your health data. Here's what it won't do:
Cara does not replace your doctor.
It won't diagnose conditions, prescribe medications, or tell you to change your treatment. It organizes your information so your conversations with healthcare providers are more productive.
In an emergency, always call 911. Cara is not equipped for crisis support.
Your Data Stays Yours
During the pilot, Cara runs on one shared server that we rent. That server also hosts the operator's other projects. Your account is protected by your own login. The database is designed to be encrypted at rest (AES-256), and the other pilot participants' accounts are in the same database. Your health data is never sold, and never shared with advertisers, insurers, or employers. Cara sends some of your health details to Anthropic's Claude AI to write replies. You can download your main records or delete your account at any time. The Privacy page lists what the download covers.
If you connect an Omi pendant, health-related mentions from your conversations reach Cara and go into your Review list. Cara does not add them to your medicines or symptoms. Marking an item "Approved" does not change your records either. You add anything you want to keep yourself. Omi is SOC 2 Type I certified (Type II audit in progress) and states HIPAA-compliant handling of voice data.
Cara also scans your conversation text for a short list of urgent phrases, such as chest pain. If it finds one, Cara can send a message to your Omi app that suggests you seek emergency care. Language that suggests self-harm is never answered by an automatic message. Cara flags it for a person to review. This is a keyword screen, not a medical judgment. It can miss things and it can be wrong. It is not an emergency service. In an emergency, call 911. Later, Cara asks you whether you got help. Cara does not close an urgent flag until you answer or a person from the pilot team reaches out.
During the pilot phase, Cara is free. We'll add optional paid features down the road, but your data will never be the product.
About the Pilot Program
Cara is currently in a limited pilot — we're working with a small group of participants to refine the experience before opening up more widely. During the pilot:
Free to Use
No payment required during the pilot. We want to get the experience right before we charge anything.
Your Feedback Shapes Cara
Pilot participants help us understand what works, what doesn't, and what to build next.
Quick Screening
A short questionnaire makes sure Cara is a good fit. Takes about 5 minutes.
No Strings Attached
You can leave the pilot at any time and take your data with you.
Who Built Cara?
Cara was built by a small, independent team — not a corporation, not a startup chasing a valuation. We built it because we needed it ourselves.
Managing multiple medications, keeping track of specialists, and staying on top of health data is exhausting — especially when the tools that exist are either overly clinical, buried behind paywalls, or designed to harvest your data. We wanted something better: a tool that respects your privacy, speaks plainly, and actually helps you walk into a doctor's office prepared.
During the pilot, you have direct access to the person who built this. Questions, concerns, feature requests — they all go to a real human who cares about getting this right. That's the advantage of being small.
